SWVA Can Code Summer Day Camp
July 14-18, 2025, 9 am - 3 pm
Location: Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center, Abingdon
Ages: Rising 9-12th Graders
SWVA Can Code Camps are designed to challenge students to develop an app prototype that addresses a key economic or community need.
Student Goals:
- Learn to program in SWIFT
- Identify a challenge or opportunity in your area
- Learn to use apps for presenting & prototyping
- Learn to design a web app
- Pitch your app to a panel of judges
Because of so many food allergies and dietary restrictions, students will need to bring their own lunch.
By registering for this event, I grant permission to the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center, its officers, employees, and/or agents (collectively “the Center”) to photograph, audio/video record me or any minor children for which I am the parent/legal guardian during participation in this program and to use such photographs, recordings, or videos in any medium (including print or electronic sources) at its sole discretion without further consent or any compensation.
